BMW navigation repair starts with a simple question: is the problem in the map or in the equipment itself. We update maps for CIC, NBT, CCC, M-ASK and iDrive systems, and if the navigation behaves strangely, technicians perform diagnostics. On this page you will find which systems and models are on our list and what to bring.

How much does a BMW navigation update cost? The price depends on the system and model. We give you the price after diagnostics (10 €) and agree on it in advance – no hidden fees.
What warranty is provided for the update? BMW map updates come with a 12-month warranty.
How long does diagnostics take? The fault is identified within 1–2 working days. We agree on the repair or update timeframe together with the price.

Myths about BMW navigation

Myth. The same map suits all BMWs of the same series. In fact. The same model can have different navigation generations. What matters is the system and the production date, not just the series.
Myth. If the navigation does not show a new road, it is broken. In fact. Most often the map is simply old. Diagnostics tells faulty equipment apart from an old map.
Myth. An older system has no map of Lithuania. In fact. There are sets for CCC, M-ASK and iDrive systems with detailed Lithuania, but it may be on a separate CD.

Which BMW navigation systems we update

BMW navigation systems differ by generation, not just by model. That is why the system is identified first, and only then is the map set selected. Lithuania is shown in detail in all sets that cover it.

Our list includes the following systems:

CIC Premium, CIC-MID Business Motion, Champ2 Business Move, NBT Next HU-H – for example, BMW 1 (E81, E82, E87, E88), 3 (E90–E93), 5 (F10, F11), 6, 7 (F01–F04), X1 E84, X3 F25, X5 E70, X6 E71, Z4 E89.
CCC Professional – earlier 1, 3, 5, 6 series, X5 E70 and X6 E71 models (up to 2008.09–2009.10, depending on the model).
M-ASK I (pre-LCI) and M-ASK II (LCI) – 2003–2010 models.
iDrive II (NAVI02/NAVI03) – 3, 5, 7 series, X3, X5, Z4, Z8, approximately 1999–2009.
iDrive I (NAVI01 MK1–MK4) – 3, 5, 7 series, X3, X5, M5, Z4, Z8.

If you do not know which system is installed in your BMW, do not worry – the most important thing is to know the model and the date of manufacture.

BMW F30, F10, F11, X3 F25: which map fits

The same body style can have different navigation generations, so the manufacturing date is what decides. In our list, the BMW 5 F10 and F11 are listed as 2010.03–2012.09, the X3 F25 as 2010.11–2013.04, and the 3 series F30 as 2012.02–2012.11.

If your car does not fall within these ranges, it does not necessarily mean that an update is impossible. It simply has to be determined based on the specific system.

Maps on CDs: CCC, M-ASK and iDrive I

In older systems, the maps are divided across several CDs. CCC Professional has three sets: the first covers Western Europe, the second Central Europe and Germany, and the third Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland and other Eastern countries.

The iDrive I system has as many as thirteen discs: the Baltic states are on the third, Germany on the seventh, and the map of the main European roads on the last one. Therefore, the complaint “it doesn’t show Lithuania” sometimes just means that the wrong disc has been inserted.

BMW map updates from our list are carried out in Vilnius and Kaunas. You can start navigation fault diagnostics at any of our service points: in Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda or Šiauliai. The service points are open Mon–Fri 9:00–18:00 and closed on weekends.

Initial diagnostics costs €10, and the fault is identified within 1–2 business days. The price and turnaround time are agreed in advance, and repairs are carried out only with your consent.

How BMW navigation diagnostics and updating work

You come in or call first. Bring the car or device to the nearest service point, or call first for a consultation. Tell us the model and year of manufacture.
Diagnostics. The technician identifies the system and the fault. Initial diagnostics costs €10, and the result is known within 1–2 business days.
Price and turnaround time. We tell you the price and turnaround time, and you decide whether to proceed. We do not repair anything without your consent.
Update or repair. We install the appropriate map version or fix the fault.
Pick-up. You pick up your car or device. Map updates come with a 12-month warranty.

Frequently asked questions about BMW navigation

Do you update BMW navigation maps in Klaipėda and Šiauliai?

According to our BMW map list, updates are carried out in Vilnius and Kaunas. You can also start navigation fault diagnostics at the Klaipėda and Šiauliai service points.

Will Lithuania be displayed after the update?

In the sets that include Lithuania, it is displayed in detail. In older systems, Lithuania is on a separate CD, so it is important that the correct set is selected.

What is the difference between CIC, NBT and CCC?

These are different generations of BMW navigation. CCC Professional was used in earlier models (up to 2008–2009), CIC later, and NBT in even newer ones, for example F series cars.

What should I bring to the service point?

Come with the car, or prepare the model and date of manufacture (in the vehicle registration certificate) or the chassis number. This helps to identify the system faster.
