Navigation map updates in Honda cars depend on which navigation system is installed. Map sets exist for some systems and not for others, so the same Honda CR-V or Civic may have to be assessed differently depending on the year of manufacture.

We say the most important thing right away: we do not update some Honda systems (HDD, SD and SSD). You can check which navigation your car has before you come, or first consult our technicians by phone. A list by system, model and year is provided below.

  • Do you update Honda HDD systems? No. We do not update HDD, SD and SSD type Honda navigation systems.
  • In which cities do you do updates? Honda map updates are available in Vilnius and Kaunas.
  • What is the warranty? Map updates come with a 12-month warranty.
  • Can CR-V navigation be updated? It depends on the system. We update CR-V with APN2 (2002–2006) and the two-CD set; HDD, SD, SSD – no.

When a Honda map update is needed

Some complaints are related to outdated data, others to a fault in the device itself. Simple signs help tell the difference.

The navigation does not know new roads and intersections

Myths about Honda navigation updates

  • Myth. If the model is the same, the update suits all years. In fact. No. The same model in different years may have an HDD, SD or SSD system, which we do not update.
  • Myth. An updated map also fixes a faulty navigation system. In fact. Maps change only the data. If the device does not read the disc or does not turn on, it needs diagnostics.
  • Myth. Phone navigation always replaces car maps. In fact. A phone app is convenient, but some people prefer an integrated car system that needs no internet connection or phone pairing.

Which Honda systems we update

The first group is older systems, known as APN2. They come with a map set for Western and Northern Europe (Austria, Belgium, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Scandinavian countries, etc.).

The second group is the Blaupunkt TravelPilot DX system, fitted to Accord models. The maps are supplied on several CDs by country and region, plus additional Europe transit maps.

  • APN2: Accord 2003–2005, CR-V 2002–2006, FR-V 2005–2009, Stream 2004–2006, Civic 3dr and 5dr 2004–2005, Jazz 2002–2007.
  • Blaupunkt TravelPilot DX: Accord 1995–2007.

Newer models with a two-CD set

Our list also includes newer models whose maps are supplied on two CDs. The first covers Western Europe, the second Eastern and Northern Europe with detailed coverage of Lithuania.

This list includes: Legend 2006–2010, Accord 2005.12–2013, CR-V 2007–2013, Civic 3dr and 5dr 2006–2011, Civic 4dr (IMA) 2008–2011, CR-Z 2010–2013 and Insight 2009–2013. Because HDD and SSD systems in some of the same models and years are not updated, please be sure to confirm the system type before you come in.

Which Honda systems we do not update

Three system types are marked in our list as not updated. This does not mean the navigation is faulty – we simply do not provide map update services for these types.

  • HDD system: CR-V, Civic 3dr, 5dr and 4dr (IMA), Jazz, Insight 2009–2011, CR-Z 2010–2011.
  • SD system: CR-V, CR-Z, Civic 5dr, Insight and Jazz from 2012.
  • SSD system: CR-V, Civic 3dr, 5dr and 4dr (IMA), CR-Z, Jazz, Insight 2009–2012.

The same model and year may have a different system, so it is not advisable to decide by year alone.

How to tell that your maps are out of date

An outdated map is usually given away by small things: the car drives across a field because a new road or roundabout is not on the map, and new addresses cannot be found. The road network in Lithuania changes constantly, so a ten-year-old map can lead you to where the road no longer exists.

If the navigation does not turn on at all or does not read the disc, this may already be a device fault rather than an old map. In that case, diagnostics are needed first.

  • Honda model and exact year of manufacture
  • Whether the system is CD, HDD, SD or SSD, if you can determine it
  • The current map disc, if you have one
  • Whether there are signs of a fault, not just outdated data
  • Choose the Vilnius or Kaunas service point

How the update works

  1. We identify the system. Based on the model, year and navigation type, we determine whether we can update it. You can also do this by consulting us by phone.
  2. You come to the service point. You come to the Vilnius or Kaunas service point on weekdays, 9:00–18:00.
  3. We agree on the price and timeframe. The technicians tell you the price before starting work, and the update is carried out only with your consent.
  4. Update and collection. You collect your car navigation with a 12-month warranty.

Frequently asked questions about Honda navigation updates

Do you update the navigation of all Honda models?

No. We do not update HDD, SD and SSD type systems. We update APN2, Blaupunkt TravelPilot DX and two-CD set systems according to the list on this page.

Where can I update my Honda maps?

The Honda navigation map update service is listed in Vilnius and Kaunas. For service points in other cities, we do not list this service for Honda cars.

Does the warranty apply to updated maps?

Yes, a 12-month warranty is provided for map updates.

Do I need to call in advance?

It is not required. You can come to the nearest service point or call first to consult about the model and system type.
