Navigation map updates for Infiniti cars are one of the services we perform in Vilnius and Kaunas. On this page you will find which Infiniti systems we update, how to tell that your map is outdated, and what to bring. In older Infiniti models, the maps do not change by themselves, and new roads, roundabouts and speed limits have long failed to appear on the screen. The map is updated to the selected version, in which Lithuania is shown in detail.

What people get wrong about Infiniti navigation

Myth. Factory maps update themselves. In fact. This does not happen in older systems. The map stays as it was recorded until you update it.
Myth. Outdated navigation means the screen is broken. In fact. Most often the screen is fine, and the only problem is old data.
Myth. A phone app completely replaces the factory system. In fact. It is useful, but it usually requires an internet connection, and abroad, roaming.

Is it worth updating the map of an old Infiniti

The factory screen is convenient to use: it is part of the car, and a phone does not fully replace it. If the map has not been updated for a long time, the biggest inconvenience comes from new roads and streets that the system simply does not know.

Phone apps usually require internet, and abroad, roaming. So for some drivers the factory navigation remains more convenient, you just need to update its map.
