WhyOver the years, the 3008 had different systems: WIP Nav+, V2 WIP Nav or WIP Com 3D NaviDrive (NG4). The maps are not compatible with each other.

What people get confused about regarding Peugeot navigation

  • Myth. Any maps can be loaded – what matters is that they fit. In fact. Each system (MMCS, WIP Nav+, RT4, etc.) has its own format. An unsuitable version may even prevent the system from starting.
  • Myth. After updating the maps, the navigation will start working faster. In fact. An update changes roads and points of interest, but not the speed of the system. Older hardware remains slower.
  • Myth. A phone app replaces the car’s navigation. In fact. A phone is convenient, but it needs the internet, while built-in navigation works without a connection and shows the route on the car’s screen.

Is it worth updating, or should you buy a new navigation device

If your car’s screen works, an update lets you keep a seamless interior look without an extra device on the dashboard. The maps cover Lithuania and neighbouring countries, and the list also includes Western and Southern Europe.

What to bring to the service

  • The car or the system media (SD card, USB, CD), if you have it
  • The car’s year of manufacture and model
  • The navigation PIN code, if the system asks for it
  • A note on when you noticed the problem and what the screen shows

How a Peugeot navigation update works

  1. You come to the service. Come to our Vilnius or Kaunas service point, or call first for advice. Our service points are open Mon–Fri 9:00–18:00 and closed on weekends.
  2. We identify the system. Based on the model, year and menu, we determine which navigation system is installed.
  3. Diagnostics, if there is a problem. If the system does not work, we carry out an initial diagnostic for €10 – the fault is identified within 1–2 business days.
  4. We agree on the price and deadline. Before we start, we tell you the cost and the time required; work is carried out only with your consent.
  5. We update and hand it back. We load the maps, check that everything works and hand the car back. We provide a 12-month warranty on map updates.

How do I update my car’s navigation?

You need a map version suitable for your system and the correct loading method. For Peugeot this may be an SD card, USB or CD, so it is most reliable to consult a technician.

Can you update the navigation of a Peugeot 3008?

Yes, we update 3008 maps, but first we determine whether it is WIP Nav+, V2 WIP Nav or NG4. This depends on the year of manufacture.
