Nissan navigation may show an outdated road network or may not start at all. In the first case the map needs to be updated; in the second, it is necessary to find out whether software errors, the card or a hardware component are to blame. What Nissan drivers often confuse

Myth. The same map fits all Nissans. In fact. No. The map depends on the system (Connect Premium, Connect 1, 2 or 3), which is determined by the model and year of manufacture. For example, the Qashqai up to 2009, from 2009–2013 and from 2014 has different systems.
Myth. If the navigation no longer shows roads, the whole unit has to be replaced. In fact. Not always. First you need to find out whether the problem is in the map data or in the hardware – diagnostics will show this.
Myth. Phone navigation always replaces the original. In fact. A phone is convenient as a supplement, but the original system is integrated into the car’s screen, so it is worth keeping its map up to date.

For newer models: Connect 1 (LCN1) – Micra, Note, Cube, Qashqai and Juke 2009–2013; Connect 2 (LCN2 v1) – Leaf, E-NV200, Juke and Micra 2013–2016; Connect 3 (LCN2 v2) – Pulsar, Note E12, Juke F15, Qashqai J11, X-Trail T32 from 2014, with an SD card.

How to tell that the map is outdated and what to bring

The signs are simple: new roundabouts and motorway sections are not shown, the car drives „across the fields”, and the address search cannot find new streets. In that case, a Nissan navigation update is needed more than a repair.

A few more questions about Nissan navigation

Will you update the Nissan Qashqai navigation maps?

Yes, we update the Qashqai according to its system: up to 2009 (Connect Premium X7), 2009–2013 (Connect 1) and the J11 from 2014 (Connect 3 with an SD card).

Can the map be updated for Nissan Juke or Note navigation?

Yes. The Juke and Note use Connect 1, 2 or 3 systems, depending on the year of manufacture. Tell us the model and year, and we will tell you the exact version.

Can I get a map of Croatia in my Nissan navigation?

Croatia is included in the Connect Premium X7, X9 and Connect 1, 2 and 3 maps. The language of the system menu does not depend on the map but on your car.

How many times a year does the map need to be updated?

There is no strict rule. Many drivers update every 1–2 years or before a long trip abroad, and in Lithuania, when they notice differences in new roads.
