If you are looking for where to get new Lancia navigation maps, you are in the right place. We update two types of Lancia navigation systems: Connect G2/DB3 and RT4/RT5. On this page you will find which models each system suits, how to recognise an outdated map and what to prepare before visiting the service point.

Old maps may not include new roads, roundabouts or changed traffic layouts, so the navigation sometimes leads you the wrong way. We have described the general map update procedure on the navigation update page.

  • Which Lancia models do you update? Connect G2/DB3: Phedra 2005–2007, Musa 2007.12–2012, Ypsilon 2008.03–2011. RT4/RT5: Phedra from 2007.06.
  • What warranty is provided? We provide a 12-month warranty for map updates.
  • How much does the update cost? The price is agreed in advance, before the work begins. The initial diagnostics cost 10 €.
  • Is Lithuania shown in detail? Yes. Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus and Ukraine make up the CD 10 set, in which Lithuania is shown in detail.

What these Lancia navigation symptoms mean

The most common cases Lancia owners come to us with.

01

Navigation maps are outdated and do not show new roads

WhyMaps become outdated over time, and the system does not update them by itself.

Check it yourselfCompare whether the road shown matches the real one. If not, the map needs to be updated.

What we doWe install new maps for your system and check that Lithuania is shown in detail.

Why the navigation does not work

WhyThe system may not detect the map, freeze or lose its GPS connection.

Check it yourselfRestart the system and see whether an error message appears.

What we doWe carry out diagnostics within 1–2 business days and tell you whether it is worth repairing.

03

Navigation does not show Lithuania

WhyThe wrong region has been loaded, or the map is not compatible with the system.

Check it yourselfCheck which region is loaded.

What we doWe select the suitable set, for example CD 10, and install it.

04

Navigation leads the wrong way

WhyMost often an outdated map or a poor GPS signal.

Check it yourselfTry driving in an open area with a clear view of the sky.

What we doWe update the map, and if the problem remains, we look for a technical cause.

What people confuse about Lancia navigation maps

  • Myth. The maps update themselves. In reality. The factory Lancia system does not update its maps by itself – they must be installed anew.
  • Myth. The same map set suits all Lancia cars. In reality. Connect G2/DB3 and RT4/RT5 are different systems, and the right set is chosen according to the model and year of manufacture.
  • Myth. An old map is only slightly inaccurate. In reality. Over time new roads and roundabouts appear, so the route may no longer match reality.

How to tell that your Lancia map is outdated

The first sign is that the navigation shows you driving across a field even though a road has already been built. The second is that it doesn’t know about new roundabouts, tunnels or changed traffic directions. The third is that it tells you to turn where it is now prohibited.

The Lancia Phedra, Musa and Ypsilon were produced in 2005–2012, so if you have never updated the maps, they most likely no longer reflect the current roads.

  • the navigation leads you along a non-existent road
  • does not show new roads and intersections
  • addresses are not found or are displayed inaccurately

Before coming to the service point, check what label is displayed when you turn on the navigation – this helps to identify the system type faster.

Which system does your Lancia have: Connect G2/DB3 or RT4/RT5

Connect G2/DB3 is compatible with the Lancia Phedra 2005–2007, the Lancia Musa from December 2007 to 2012 and Lancia Ypsilon cars produced between March 2008 and 2011. RT4/RT5 is intended for the Lancia Phedra from June 2007.

If you are not sure about the system, call us for advice or bring the device to the nearest service point (Mon–Fri 9:00–18:00).

How the map regions are divided

For both systems, the maps are divided into 11 CDs by region. For Lithuania you need CD 10, which covers Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania (in detail), Belarus and Ukraine.

For those travelling farther, other sets are useful:

  • CD 1 – France; CD 2 – Spain, Portugal; CD 3 – Italy
  • CD 6 – Germany; CD 7 – Great Britain, Ireland; CD 8 – Scandinavia
  • CD 9 – Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary
  • CD 11 – Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Montenegro, Croatia, Macedonia, Romania, Serbia

If you also use downloaded maps on your phone, see the description of offline mode.

What to prepare before visiting the service point

  • the car model and year of manufacture
  • any map discs or card you have
  • a photo or description of what is displayed when you turn on the navigation
  • the security code, if the system asks for it
  • a note of when you noticed the problem

Frequently asked questions about Lancia navigation

Why is the Lancia navigation not working?

There may be several reasons: the system may not detect the map, may freeze or may fail to connect to GPS. We determine the exact cause during diagnostics; the initial diagnostics cost 10 €.

Can I use Google Maps instead of the factory navigation?

Phone maps can be used as an additional option. The factory system’s maps are stored in the system itself, so updating it is a separate job.

Does Lancia navigation work without the internet?

In the factory system, the maps are stored in the system itself (from CD sets), so an internet connection is not required for basic navigation.

Is the update free of charge?

No. We tell you the price in advance, before starting work, and there are no hidden fees.

Which navigation is better for a car?

It depends on your needs. You will find a comparison in the car navigation systems article.

When can I bring a device to the service center?

Our service centers are open Mon–Fri 9:00–18:00 and are closed on weekends. You are welcome to call us for advice before you come.
